Gaudi’s Parc Guell in Barcelona to me still is one of the most inspiring places I know. And within the parc the so called nature square, the plaza on top of the columns is the highlight.
Most remarkable is that plazas and squares all over the world are formed by its walls, almost always being buildings. Every now and then combined with trees. The Parc Guell plaza only has a stone bench, curved and designed using sharves and tiles in a mosaic. Apparently this bench is strong enough to create a warm and intimate plaza.
