In Essen the former Zollverein mining complex has found its new destination. Impressive is the light design that gives the area a sort of surrealistic atmosphere.
Two museums form the focal points in Zollverein, one dedicated to the history of mining, the other being a design museum. Suddenly Essen, with the redevelopment of Zollverein got her most touristic complex.
